This is a hands-on workshop in small groups with cardiologists from the Royal University Hospital. You will have the opportunity to read ECGs and work with your group re interpretation and next steps.

At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
Select the best management strategies for a NSTEMI and STEMI
Consider management strategies for Atrial Fibrillation, from rate to rhythm control and selecting appropriate anticoagulation options.
Get an update on the most current heart failure management strategies
Use the best approach in managing the Diabetic cardiac patient
Investigate and manage patients with difficult to treat hypertension
Have a practical approach to managing syncope
Choose the correct therapy for the challenging lipid abnormality
Be familiar with the current status of cardiac percutaneous mechanical interventions in Saskatchewan
At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
1. Update the correct diagnostic criteria for chamber enlargement
2. Review the diagnostic criteria for heart blocks and tachy arrhythmia
3. Being able to correctly interpret basic pacemaker function
4. Review diagnostic criteria for diagnosing STEMI and NSTEMI
5. Review multiple practical ECGs with one on one interaction with cardiologist
